Paul Déroulède (1864-1914) was the founder and president of the French national movement "Ligue des patriots" (The League of Patriots). During the late 1890s, he was chosen as a representative of the French parliament. The movement he headed was inclined to ultra-nationalism, violence and anti-Semitism. During the Dreyfus Affair, Déroulède supported the position of the army and demanded that Alfred Dreyfus be accused of treason.
