Paris: François Clousie, 1666. French. Third edition, corrected and enlarged (first edition appeared in 1657).
Account of the journey to the Holy Land undertaken in 1652 by French clergyman Jean Doubdan. Illustrated with an elaborate engraved title page (signed in the plate: I. Honertio) and nine engraved plates (four folding), including maps and views of sites in the Holy Land – map of Jerusalem, views of the Mount of Olives, Mount Carmel, Mount Tabor, and others.

[8] leaves, 714, [10] pages + [1] engraved title page + [9] engraved plates (approx. five engravings lacking). 22.5 cm. Wide margins. Fair-good condition. Stains (including large dampstains to first approx. 100 leaves). Small marginal tears with minor loss to several leaves. Inscriptions (personal, handwritten prayer in French on front endpaper). Tears and defects to several plates. Old leather binding, gilt-tooled spine. Repairs to margins and corners.
