A dramatic poem on the figure of Zangezi, a modern prophet aspiring to convey his messages to the world. The work combines elements of fantasy and mythology with philosophical ideas and is characterized by rich and complex language including wordplay, linguistic innovations, and innovative syntax. The work, printed a few weeks after Khlebnikov's death, reflects his ideas about futuristic language and his unique vision for modern poetry and literature.
Lithographic cover designed by avant-garde artist Pyotr Miturich (Пётр Васильевич Митурич; 1887-1956), Khlebnikov's friend, who assisted him in editing the texts and completing the work.


35 pages. 24 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and wear. Inscription in margin of first page. Tears to cover, restored with paper completions and adhesions.
