The author, Rebbe Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk (1730-1782), a prominent disciple of the Baal Shem Tov and later of the Maggid of Mezeritch, was a Chassidic leader in Lithuania and Belorussia, and headed the Chassidic immigration to Eretz Israel in 1777. His disciples include R. Avraham of Kalisk, R. Shneur Zalman of Liadi and others.


30 pages. 21.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Many stains. Light worming. Margins of last leaf repaired with paper. Inscriptions. New leather binding.
