"Palestine Land of Dispute" – Map of Palestine According to the Partition Plan – London 1947
Two-sided broadside with the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine. Published by the Bureau of Current Affairs, printed by Fosh & Cross, London, 1947. English.
Broadside, no. 37 of the Map Review series: Map of Palestine according to the partition plan, accompanied by a detailed review of the quality of the properties, population densities and a summary of the conclusions of the "UNSCOP - United Nations Special Committee on Palestine". On the verso are three notices regarding current events.
The Map Review series was printed by the British army shortly after WWII and supplied the military forces with brochures with a map on one side and a brief review of current events on the other side. Due to the printing expenses and deprivation following the war, the printing of these maps ceased. Proclamation no. 37 is dedicated to the UN Partition Plan.
76X101 cm. Good-fair condition. Folding marks, creases and defects. Holes, tears, some open along the folding crease and margins (some long, affecting the map).
