Etrog Box Bought by Rebbe Rashab of Lubavitch and His Wife Rebbetzin Shterna Sarah, for Their Granddaughter's Groom, Rabbi Shemaryahu Gurary - With Certificate of Authenticity Signed by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary
Silver-plated box, made by Fraget (marked: Fraget N Plaque), Warsaw, after 1915.
Letter of authenticity enclosed (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… the silver Esrog box that my grandfather – the Rashab told my grandmother to buy for my husband even before we were engaged. At the time we were not officially engaged yet because things were very bad in Russia at the time. However, my grandfather knew... his health was getting very poor and he instructed my grandmother to buy this Esrog box".
Approx. 13X12 cm. Good condition.
