Candlesticks Bought by Rebbe Rashab of Lubavitch and His Wife Rebbetzin Shterna Sarah, for Their Granddaughter, Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary - With Certificate of Authenticity Signed by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary
Silver-plated candlesticks, made by Fraget (marked: Fraget N Plaque), Warsaw, late 19th century / early 20th century.
Letter of authenticity enclosed (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… the silver candlesticks that my grandparents bought for me before I was officially engaged. My grandfather's health was getting worse and the Shidduch with my husband was already in the works. My grandfather the Rashab gave my grandmother money she should buy 2 candlesticks. It was a very bad time for us economically and safety wise. My grandparents gave me these candlesticks and a Brocha that I with my future Choson should build a good Jewish home".
Height: 21 cm. Good condition.
