Lot of three original British Mandate–era (Palestine / Eretz Israel) banking documents: Promissory note / bill of exchange, due 15 January 1941, dated 30 August 1940, for LP 54.750, payable in Tel Aviv, franked with a strip of three Palestine Revenue stamps and stamps/signatures (”Bon pour Aval”). ”Cash” payment slip from Citizens' Bank Ltd., Tel Aviv, dated August 1938, bearing two Palestine Revenue stamps (3m green, 4m mosque) and a violet ”PAID 2 AUG 1938” bank handstamp. Letter from The Anglo-Palestine Bank Limited (predecessor of Bank Leumi), dated 27 September 1933, regarding returned bills, sum £58.10.11. The reverse bears the endorsement ”Pay to the order of Government of Palestine without recourse — The Anglo-Palestine Bank Limited” with a signature.
