A PAIR OF SILVER TORAH FINIALS. Nuremberg, 1856
On tubular staves with an outwardly tapering base chased wth acanthus leaf designs. Upper portion fitted with multiple hand crafted bells. Fitted with a lion finial engraved in Hebrew (one now lacking). Engraved along base with Hebrew dedication. GIVEN TO KHAL ADATH JESHURUN MANN, BY THE CHAVER YAAKOV SON OF THE CHAVER R' GEDALIA HALEVI, AND HIS WIFE THE IMPORTANT MRS HENYAH ZISEL ROTHBARD, MENDELE OPPENHEIM DAUGHTER OF OUR RABBI THE COHEN IN 1856. Furher engraved on surviving lion's plaque with a second dedication.
