Manuscript of the book Bigdei Kodesh containing teachings and prayers from the Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim, Mishna, Zohar and Braiytot ordered according to the days of the week for Shacharit and Mincha. By Rabbi Aharon Berachya of Modena, author of "Ma'avar Yabok".
The book was printed for the first time with a special title page as part of the book by the author of "Me'il Tzdakah", Mantova 1731. Later, it was printed as a book in itself in Venice 1748, with additional subsequent editions (Mantova 1749, 1767).
Rabbi Aharon Berachya of Moden was a kabbalist and one of the most prominent rabbis of Italy four hundred years ago. His book "Ma'avar Yabok" was printed for the first time in 1626. Since then, many editions of the book were published. Rabbi Aharon Berachya authored additional compositions some of which were printed and some which remained as manuscripts.
[65] leaves, written on both their sides in orderly scribal script. Primary words are written in large, square script. 13.5 cm.
Condition: Good-Fair. Varying between the leaves. Moth holes with damage to single words of the text. Time stains and stains of use. On leaf [18], flaw with omission. Ancient leather binding.
