שלכת, אקריליק על בד, 28x28 ס"מ, חתום, עבודה איכותית. מנשה קדישמן, ישראלי, 2015-1932. יצירתו המוקדמת של מנשה קדישמן היא במדיום הפיסול. בעבודות אלו יצר פיסול פיגורטיבי. בסוף שנות ה-50 של המאה ה-20 החל ליצור פיסול שהיה קרוב ברוחו אל ההפשטה של אופקים חדשים והושופע אף מן הגישה הכנענית. יצירות אלו, העשויות בברונזה ובאבן הציגו דמויות בסגנון ארכאי או מבנים מופשטים שהתייחסו אל מזבחות. בין השנים 1970-1964 עסק בבנייה של מבנים גאומטריים מופשטים ומנימליסטיים, שהתייחסו לנושאים כגון שיווי משקל או מאסה פיסולית ושילבו זכוכית. בשנות ה-70 החלה אמנותו להתייחס אל מדיה חדשות כגון אמנות אדמה. בעזרתם בחן את היחס שבין חברה הטבע והאמנות. בשנת 1978 לדוגמה, הציג במסגרת הביאנאלה לאמנות בונציה את "פרוייקט הכבשים: הטבע כאמנות והאמנות כטבע". במהלך שנות ה-80 של המאה ה-20 החל לעסוק במיתוס "עקדת יצחק", סביבה יצר ציורים ופסלים רבים.
