בעלת תואר ראשון באומנות יצירה ולימודי א"י, בעלת תואר שני בכתיבה יוצרת , אוניברסיטת חיפה.
חברה באגודת האמנים והפסלים, חיפה והצפון, חברה באגודת הסופרים העבריים בישראל.
ספריה: "גומות – שירה ארוטית" 2005, "דלתות פתוחות" 2014, "רעבה" סדרה לשירה חדשה בעריכת אמיר אור, בהוצאת פרדס. "רחוב החנויות – רומן בהוצאת אופיר ביכורים, חוזה נחתם ב7-2022.
ציוריה של שקד בסקאלת הראליזים, אך מושכת את מכחולה ברקע מופשט ובאינטואיטיביות. משחררת את הצבע על הבד. מאחורי כל ציור יש סיפור וסוד מתוך זיכרון.
שקד מציירת תשוקה עמוקה - הציור והכתיבה הם דרך לביטוי פנימי עמוק ומעצים להעברת מסר.
