Miri is a professional painting artist since 2016, prior to that she worked as a process engineer at Intel for 27 years. Painting has always been her deepest passion. She took a drawing class in the house of artists in Tel Aviv, followed by several oil painting workshops held at several artist’s houses.

Her style is divided into abstracts and figurative-abstract.

Miri is an intuitive abstract painter; she starts with random brush strokes and throughout the process she decides what shapes to create and what other colours to add. She works with brushes, spatulas, and sponges to create different shapes.

When working on a figurative painting, Miri starts with a realistic drawing and incorporates abstract elements towards the middle of the painting process. Sometimes there are no abstract elements at all, but the figure will get the addition of an unexpected element which will give the figure a twist of fantasy or unreality.
