GODARD JEAN-lUC: (1930-2022) French-Swiss film director, a pioneer of the French New Wave film movement of the 1960s and the recipient of an Honorary Academy Award. Signed 7 x 5 photograph of Godard standing in a three-quarter length pose alongside actor Eddie Constantine, in costume as private detective Lemmy Caution, and holding a gun in his hands, on the set of the French New Wave tech noir film Alphaville: une étrange aventure de Lemmy Caution (1965; Alphaville: A Strange Adventure of Lemmy Caution). Signed by Godard in bold blue ink with his name alone to a light area at the head of the image. VG
