KHRUSHCHEV NIKITA: (1894-1971) First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union 1953-64. T.L.S., N. Khrushchev, in his capacity as First Secretary of the Ukraine Communist Party, states in part `..In compliance with the ordinance of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on over-plan production of tractors and agricultural machines for the Ukrainian SSR, the Kharkov Tractor Works and the Agricultural Machinery Works have undertaken the obligation to manufacture 1,000 tractors, 1,200 combine harvesters, 600 threshing machines, 3,800 seeding-machines, 1,500 reaping-machines, and other agricultural machines. To ensure the fulfilment of these obligations, factories have developed organizational and technical measures to increase production capacity, mechanization of production processes, and to make maximum use of internal reserves...´ With two binder holes and two small tears to the left border, not affecting the text or signature. Georgy Maximilianovich Malenkov (1901-1988) Soviet Politician who briefly succeeded Joseph Stalin as the leader of the Soviet Union. He became heavily involved in Stalin´s purges and later got sole responsibility over the Soviet missile program during WWII. Malenkov had a power struggle with Khrushchev which culminated with his removal from the premiership and Presidium.
