EMPRESS ALEXANDRA FEODOROVNA: (1872-1918) Alix of Hesse. Empress Consort of Russia 1894-1917, wife of Tsar Nicholas II. The last Tsarina of Russia, known for her notorious friendship with the Russian mystic Rasputin. A very attractive A.N.S., with her initial `A´, to a 4 x 2.5 beige card, bearing to the left border in vertical an attractive embossed red crown and letters in Cyrillic beneath with her name “Alexandra”. The Empress annotates in pencil and in English `At last I send you the money for the Italian picture´. Very small minor age wear, otherwise G to VG
