FREUD ANNA: (1895-1982) British Psychoanalyst of Austrian-Jewish descent, the sixth and youngest child of Sigmund Freud. She followed her father´s path and contributed to the field of psychoanalysis and is considered co-founder of psychoanalytic child psychology. A very fine T.L.S., `Anna Freud´, one page, 8vo, Hampstead, London, 19th January 1959, on her personal printed stationery, to Miss A. Berman in Paris, in German. Anna Freud reciprocates her correspondent´s greetings and states in part `My father never addressed to any of the persons you name in any other way than by their own name, and he never changed that with any individual. The people he was on first-name terms with were only those from his student days and early medical years, people like his friends, Dr. Rie, Dr. Konigstein, etc..
