בידספיריט | Lodz (Litzmannstadt) Ghetto 5pf presumed

Lodz (Litzmannstadt) Ghetto 5pf presumed pattern piece, 1942 ; 19.25mm, 4.9g. Appears as EF w/light corrosion in places. This is a controversal piece as some numismatists say such a pattern was not produced, although the die for it is displayed in Franquinet's authoritative book on the Ghetto's coins, and he writes ”As the transcript of a report proves, plans also existed to mint 5-Pfennig pieces as well. The plans, however were not implemented”. This is a very rare piece seldomly offered for sale ( 2 known sold in last 30 years, both w/specifications matching this piece ), however we present it ” as is ” and cannot make any warranty as to its authenticity. Ref: Camp-4750, Franquinet-p.51, #20, SB-1021.
