1952 unusual re-franked & taxed demonetized cover: 29-6-1952 ”Igeret” stationary cv ex RAMAT GAN to JERUSALEM originally franked 11pr with mixture of x2 Mandate 3m pictorals + 5m Doar Ivri (already cancelled 20-9-1949) probably attempting to pass the 2 green Pictorals off as DI franks for the period 15pr PM rate; this partially rejected at local PO, which circled the Mandate franks ( erroniously cancelled them , perhaps before noticing) and required valid stamps applied - 5pr 1949 2nd Coinage Ba22 + 3x 5pr 1950 3rd Coinage Ba42, so total would be 20pr + the [cancelled] 5pr DI, short 5pr of the period 30pr letter rate ; now marked for 10pr tax (manuscript on front) paid in J'lem on front and cancelled (but frank has been removed); b/s J'LEM arrival.
