A LATE ROMAN/BYZANTINE GLASS BOTTLE, CA. 4TH OR 5TH CENTURY AD

A glass bottle possibly from the late Roman/Byzantine time CA. 4th or 5th Century AD. An elaborate design on the side of the bottle features a floral and snake theme, with a threaded band on top. One of the flowers is chipped along its edge. One of the four snakes is missing with a second missing all but its head.

Late Roman Era - CA. 4th or 5th Century AD

H: 3 1/4 in., (8.2 cm.)


Condition: Great condition overall. Chipping on side detailing, including floral and snake motifs.
