AN INDIAN DHAL SHIELD WITH GILT MEDALLIONS, 19TH CENTURY
Consisting of blackened steel, the outer surface being adorned with four brass bosses, each chased with foliage and centered around a roundel chased with figures and deities. The area between these bosses decorated with various applied figures including people riding camels and mahouts aboard elephants, all within a foliate brass border.

Condition: Some surface rust and some minor bending at the edges. Otherwise great condition.
