A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN EASTER EGG, 19TH CEN.
A Russian porcelain Easter egg was probably made by Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in the second half of the 19th c. An item is decorated with a gilded pattern from the top to the bottom. Three symbols are embraced by the shield-form frame on the front side. The cross, the anchor, and the burning heart. The second one proves coherence with St. Petersburg. Gilded bronze mount to the top.Provenance: bonhams, the Oxford Fine Sale, 18 February 2015, 10:00 GMT, lot 503.
