A WW2 GERMAN S.S WEWELSBURG CASTLE COMMEMORATIVE BADGE
A German Third Reich Wewelsburg SS Academy badge with engraved images of a castle and a swastika on top, inscription Wewelsburg, oak leaves, a skull with bones Totenkopf in the middle, and an enameled black SS emblem with two Sig runes on the bottom. On the backside of a badge, there are a horizontal pin and German hallmarks, patent stamp Ges. Gesch. Armed SS, the Waffen-SS was the military branch of the Nazi Party's SS organization. Wewelsburg is a castle in the village of Wewelsburg, used by the SS after 1934.
