A BAVARIAN HONOR BADGE CIVILIAN DOCTORS, 1866
Commemorative Honor Badge for Meritorious Service in War-Year 1866 by Civilian Doctors. Bronze with a pin back. Shaped like an oversized cross. Each arm boasts a caduceus, the ancient sign of a physician. In the cross center, there is the year 1866 commemorating the campaign. The badge was donated by King Ludwig II (1845–1886, reigned from 1864) by a Decree of February 25, 1867.
