Description:

North African Islamic Talismanic Print with Hamsa and Protective Eye, Arabic Inscriptions

A colorful folk-religious print attributed to North Africa (likely Morocco/Algeria/Tunisia), depicting a Hamsa (Hand of Fatima) with a central protective eye, surrounded by Arabic inscriptions referencing Allah and the Prophet Muhammad, along with protective invocations such as “Ya Hafiz.” The composition features dense ornamental borders, vivid coloration, and symmetrical decorative elements typical of Maghrebi popular devotional art. Such pieces were commonly used as protective amulets for domestic or commercial spaces. Mounted in a simple frame.
