Reverse: Abraham is depicted gazing at the stars, symbolizing God’s promise that his descendants would become as numerous as the stars in the heavens. Reverse: Joseph is depicted in his high-ranking position in Egypt, wearing Egyptian-style clothing that also recalls the coat of many colors given to him by his father Jacob. He points to himself as he reveals his identity to his brothers. On the left, sheaves of grain gradually transform into figures of his brothers bowing before him, referring to Joseph’s dreams and their eventual fulfillment. The inscription “מוסיקה / MUSIC” appears in Hebrew and English. The coin was designed by Israel Prize laureate Dan Reisinger and is the first issue in the “Artists of Israel” series.
