September 9, 1944 - the day when a communist revolution took place in Bulgaria. On this day, the Bulgarian Fatherland Front came to power with the support of the Soviet Red Army, and the period of communist rule in the country began.
Details: Shape: The medal is designed in the shape of a five-pointed star, a symbol associated with communist ideology.
Front side: In the center of the star appears a portrait of Georgi Dimitrov, the first leader of communist Bulgaria.
The portrait is surrounded by green leaves (bay or olive leaves) symbolizing victory and honor.
