Two Vintage Ceramic Flagons.
These two vintage ceramic flagons from Vereeniging, South Africa, were used for storing liquids such as spirits, chemicals, or water. The larger flagon, standing at 49cm tall with a 29cm diameter, is stamped "A.E. & C.I. LTD X" and features a threaded neck with a ceramic screw-on lid. The smaller flagon is marked "One Gallon", indicating its capacity. Both flagons show minor chips, consistent with age, adding to their vintage character. These utilitarian pieces reflect the durable craftsmanship of early South African ceramic production.
