Antique Boer War Binoculars in Original Case - Rare Carl Zeiss Jena DRP Feldstecher Vergr X8 - Must Meet Reserve
These binoculars are from the early 1900's.  Engraved on the front "Lieut P. W. Tait" & "New Zealand Rough Riders", from the Anglo Boer War (The South African War). Members of New Zealand's 3rd & 4th contingent in 1900 were known as the 'Rough Riders'. Lens are dusty/dirty but I could see through them easily. Good condition for the age and where they have been. A rare find indeed.
