SHUT MAHARIK - CREMONA, 1557 Second edition of one of the classic seforim of tshuvos, who's words are quoted many times by the later seforim The author Rabbi Joseph Colon Trabotto (1426-1490) was a foremost Halachic authority of 15th-century Italian Jewry. He imbibed his Torah wisdom from his father Rabbi Solomon who descended from Rashi, as well as from Rabbi Mordechai Nathan. Rabbi Joseph served as Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in Piedmont, Mantua and Pavia. Rabbi Ovadia of Bartenura, famed author of a commentary on the Mishna, was one of his prominent disciples. Lacking the title page & first 12 pages, tears & tapings affecting text, lacking pages 62 & 65, lacking 12 pages at end. All the lacking pages supplied in photocopy, new binding.
