Rare sefer Tiferes Yisrael by the MaHaral published in Slavita, 1793;
one of the very first sefarim printed in the Shapira printing press.
Following the title page is an endorsement from Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Segal of Volochys'k, a disciple of the Maggid of Mezritch. On the title page is the signature and seal of Rabbi Shmuel Heller, Av Beis Din of Tzfas and on the flyleaf is the signature of Rabbi Mordechai Friedman of Mezritch.
Rabbi Moshe Shapira, Av Beis Din of Slavita was the son of Rabbi Pinchas Koritz. Despite his tremendous Torah greatness he refused to lead in the capacity of Admor and served instead as the unpaid Rabbi of Slavita. There, Rabbi Moshe established a quality printing press which quickly earned its name as the leading printing house for sifrei kodesh in all of Russia and Poland.
