Commentary on the 613 mitzvos by the great Ashkenazi Rishon Rabbi Eliezer of Metz.
This fundamental halachic masterpiece is cited by some of the greatest Rishonim of all times, among them Maharam of Rottenberg; the Mordechai; Hagahos Maimoniyos; the Rekanti, and others.
The author, Rabbi Eliezer of Metz, was a disciple of Rabbeinu Tam and he is quoted extensively by the Baalei Tosfos in their commentary on Shas. Two of his greatest disciples were the Ravia and the Rokeach.
In his preface to this work, Rabbi Eliezer writes that he entitled his sefer ‘Yere’im, ’ explaining that “From this, they will to learn to fear Hashem.”
