Letter by Hagaon Harav Shaul Rosenberg, Av Beis Din of Ratzfert, to Harav Yosef Leib Sofer, Av Beis Din of Faks, 1893.
This letter was sent to Hagaon Harav Leib Sofer, author of the Yalkut Sofer, during his tenure as Av Beis Din of Dratschke.
Harav Shaul Rosenberg, Av Beis Din of Ratzfert (1865-1940) was renowned throughout Hungary for his sanctity and piety. He disseminated Torah with love for close to 40 years and was revered for his brilliance and vast Torah wisdom.
In his youth, he traveled to study under the tutelage of Harav Tzvi Hirsch of Liska, and was closely affiliated to the Rebbes of Belz. He authored sefer Chemdas Shaul.
The top of the letter regards the Rabbanus in Kerestir, and the second half is replete with Torah novellae.
