Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman (Ramban)’s explanation on the foundations of religion and faith including concepts of reward and punishment, suffering of the righteous, resurrection of the dead and the World of Truth.
Shaar Hagmul is one of the foundational Jewish classics on these perplexing and profound topics.
The final page of the book features a letter sent from Yerushalayim by the Ramban to his son, describing the heartrending state of the forlorn, abandoned city.
Ferrara, 1556. 26 leaves. Page size: 21.5 cm. Slight holes at margins and in text, professionally restored. Antique parchment binding.
Giznei Yisrael 1214. A printer’s error mistakenly attributed several copies of this work to the Rambam. This copy correctly credits the Ramban as the author.
