Letters of Request for Aliyah Certificates for Chassidim of the Rebbe Rayatz in Russia [2]. 1933-1934
* A letter of request to the Rabbinate to attempt to attain an aliyah permit for Rabbi Moshe Dov Gansburg (born 1890), a chassid of the Rayatz, one of the heads of the Underground in Moscow. Rabbi Gansburg immigrated to Israel in 1937.
*A letter of commitment and financial guarantee for Rabbi Eliezer Ceitlin so that the Rabbinate could advocate for his Aliyah. Rabbi Ceitlin (1895-1938) was a chassid who, with great self-sacrifice, established a Talmud Torah and synagogue in his home. Despite this letter of request, Rabbi Ceitlin was arrested by the N.K.V.D for his activities, imprisoned in Siberia, where he became ill and died from the backbreaking work in 1938.
