Payment method - Palestinian refugee camp - CICR Mission for Palestine. Jerusalem, Late 40s or early 50s
CICR is the French abbreviation for the International Red Cross. They issued this ration assistance card for a Palestinian family of three, ages 48,45, and 14. In place of the recipient's signature is written 'Chr (istian) Quarter'.
According to the Arabic writing on it, the card was issued by the Jerusalem branch of the Red Cross, and may also have been printed in Israel.
Extremely rare! We could not find similar items online. We have no information regarding the exact date of issue, the refugee camp where the card was issued or the name of its owner.
