עיתונה הרשמי של האגודה הציונית של שנחאי, היה להגדרתו עיתון "נאמן לאינטרסים של היהודים ויהדות במזרח הרחוק". העיתון עסק בהגברת המודעות לפועלה של התנועה הציונית, ביישוב היהודי בארץ ישראל, בחיים היהודים בשנחאי, ועוד. הוא החל לצאת לאור בשנת 1904
