Badge – "Shurot HaMaginim" in Cyprus
A badge prepared in detention camps on Cyprus for illegal immigrants to Palestine. Hand engraved on a coin
In the center of the badge there is a shield with the "Haganah" symbol. inside the shield above the Star of David the number "45" and below it the letters "mm". Around the engraving symbol of a hand holding two branches, a sword and a hammer.
Diameter 2.5 cm. Excellent condition, without the pin.
"Shurot HaMaginim" was a secret organization related to the "Haganah", operated in Cyprus internment camps. Palmach members that were sent from Palestine to the camps, trained the detainees towards their recruitment to the "Haganah" and later to yhe IDF.
