"When the definitive confirmation of the extermination of European Jews arrived, the Yishuv leadership declared three days of mourning from November 30 to December 2, 1942. Demonstrations and rallies were held throughout the country, all film screenings across the country were canceled and newspapers appeared with their front pages in black frames".
