TWO NAMED WWI U.S. ARMY AEF TRENCH ART SHELLS FRANCE
Pair of two vase-like pieces of trench art shells made during WWI by Captain Raymond Pollock, a member of the 30th Division A.E.F., comprised of carved artillery shells, 13.25 tall and 3 inches in diameter at the opening. Etched at the top of each piece, 'Capt. Raymond Pollock - F.G. 120 30th Division A.E.F.'. Etched on shields on each piece, '1918 Chateau Thierry France'. One shell is marked on bottom with, '75 DEC 51L 18 BO'. The other shell is marked on bottom with, '75 DEC ATF 202 18 C'. Slight tarnishing on pieces.
