CHARLES WATERHOUSE SIGNED LITHOGRAPH
(1924-2013) US Marine Corps artist and participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was awarded the 'USMC Artist in Residence', the Legion of Merit, and a Purple Heart. Charles Waterhouse signed artwork titled 'The Bar on the Beach - Iwo Jima 19, Feb. 1945'. Inscribed 'to Michael R. Jordan, 'Uncommon Valor was a Common Virtue' from the artist Colonel Charles Waterhouse USMCR'. Included with artwork is small reproduction print detailing Waterhouse's time on Iwo Jima. 25 x 18.5 inches. Minor creases on left and right edges.
