SEMYON BUDYONNY MARSHAL OF THE SOVIET UNION
(1883 - 1973) Russian cavalryman, military commander during the Russian Civil War, Polish-Soviet War, and World War II, close political ally of Joseph Stalin. He was honored as the Hero of the Soviet Union three times and is a recipient of the Cross of St. George. A book titled 'The Travelled Road', written by Budyonny. It is autographed and dated by him 'February 16, 1960' in blue ink. The book is in Russian and contains black and white photos of the Soviet political and military leaders, taken between 1917 and 1936, as well as a few maps of the military action. Hardcover, 5.25 x 8.25 in, minor soiling and wear on the cover, very good.
