WEHRPASS INFANTRY KIA RUSSIAN FRONT
Wehrpass for Infantry soldier Hermann Rasmus (1911 - 1942) born in Hademarschen, Rendsburg. Wehrpass was issued 24. October 1939 in Rendsburg. His enlisted with the Infantry Nachrichten Ersatz Kompanie 30 Schleswig. By January 1942 he was promoted to Unteroffizier and with Stab II./Infantry Regiment 209. His records show that he participated in the Blitzkrieg against France and fought during the invasion of Russia. In March 1942 he found himself in Novgorod where he was killed. He received the Iron Cross 2nd Class on 3.9.41. Accompanied by a large b/w photograph of an unidentified soldier, 7 x 9.5 inches, and a soldier's portrait in pencil, small tear at the top and bottom right corner, 8.5 11.75 inches. Three pieces.
