David LaChapelle's pigment print, Rebirth of Venus was made in 2009 and measures 66x50cm.
The work is strongly inspired by the Birth of Venus by Botticelli transformed and re-proposed in a modern key. From the pose of Venus, to the presence of Zephyr and the presence of the iconic shell, LaChapelle thus decides to pay homage to the Renaissance painter Botticelli.
