Large Press Photograph – The Jewish Ghetto During the Nazi Occupation - Large photograph showing Jews wearing armbands along a crowded street in one of the ghettos of Poland during the Nazi occupation. In the foreground, an elderly Jewish man wearing an armband is seen walking beside a column bearing advertising posters for the 1940 German film 7 Jahre Pech (“Seven Years of Bad Luck”), as well as a Kino Teatr Apollo cinema poster for the Polish film Przez łzy do szczęścia (“Through Tears to Happiness”), produced in 1939 and screened in cinemas under the occupation. The reverse of the photograph is inscribed by hand: תש״ב - 1942. Size: 21×25 cm. Very good condition.
