"The Jews" - An issue of the French magazine "Témoignages de Notre Temps" (Testimonies of Our Time) dedicated to the Jewish people. Paris, 1933 - Hundreds of photographs

Les Juif - A rare issue of Témoignages de Notre Temps, the French magazine entirely dedicated to the Jewish people and its prominent figures. Starting from ancient times, the great Jewish leaders, modern antisemitism, and the early 1930s with the onset of Nazi persecution in Germany (Hitler became Chancellor just a few months before the publication of this issue). Accompanied by hundreds of black-and-white photographs, some full-page—featuring Jews in traditional clothing from European and Eastern countries, sacred objects, synagogues, rabbis, famous Jews, pogroms, Hasidic Rebbes, Zionist leaders, and many more. The issue concludes with portrait photographs of Jewish figures from the monumental works of photographer Helmar Lerski. Paris, 1933. A special issue published at a rare historical crossroads—on the eve of Jewish persecution in Germany.

Throughout the issue, articles discuss Jewish life, customs, Jewish culture, the Jewish influence on nations worldwide, the unique character of Eastern Jewish communities, the distinctiveness of the Jewish people and its geniuses, and their difficult situation among the nations. Among are: an article by Victor Basch, president of the League for Human Rights, about "The German Drama, " a declaration by the Chief Rabbi of France, Israel Lévi, an article by Léon Motzkin on "The Jewish Minority and the League of Nations, " "The Hebrew Genius" by Ernest Renan, "The Jews of America" by Ludwig Lewisohn, "Palestine" by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, and more. The cover features a picture of the Rebbe of Bobov, and another image of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Spinka appears within the magazine. Additionally, there are photographs of Albert Einstein, Marc Chagall, Edmond de Rothschild, Chaim Weizmann, Theodor Herzl, and others. The magazine was published bi-monthly, each issue focusing on a different subject.
