Complete annual of all the issues of the Berlin satirical weekly - Kladderadatsch that were published in 1870. The issues are all accompanied by many sharp-natured, mocking illustrations against Germany's political opponents. In the issues before us, the magazine's editor wages a "war of articles" throughout the year against French hegemony and from time to time hints at the Jewish connection and Jewish influence on economic and political moves against Germany, integrating them with antisemitic caricatures.
Kladderadatsch is a satirical magazine in the German language founded by Albert Hofmann and David Kalisch, which began its journey in Berlin on May 7, 1848, and appeared "every day, except weekdays". It was published continuously until 1944 and was considered one of the highest quality magazines in terms of color graphics, published in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Originally, Kladderadatsch was a liberal magazine, but it became more nationalistic over the years. During the Weimar period, the magazine's stance was German-nationalist. After the takeover by industrialist Hugo Stinnes in 1923, the magazine was controlled by the Nazi party and its content became more and more antisemitic.
