The newspaper ״HaMashkif״ was established in 1938 as the official daily newspaper of the Revisionist movement in Eretz Israel and served as the principal mouthpiece of the Hatzohar movement and the Irgun. The newspaper provided a platform for disseminating Jabotinsky’s political and security doctrine and regularly published his articles, speeches, and directives during the final year of his life, until his death in 1940. Through the pages of the newspaper, Jabotinsky conducted his ideological struggle against the Labor movement and the organized Yishuv, and used it to convey direct messages to members of his movement in Eretz Israel. After his death, his writings and seminal articles continued to be published in the newspaper, becoming a major source of inspiration for the military and political struggle of the Revisionist movement during the 1940s.
