Pocket Dictionary from Hebrew to Russian and Ashkenazi and Russian to Hebrew and Ashkenaz by Yehuda Grazowski with the participation of Joseph Klausner, published by the Central Zionist Office, Irkutsk [Siberia] 1919.

In Irkutsk, only a few Hebrew titles were printed. In addition to the rare dictionary before us, we know of a prayer book printed there by the National Council of Jewish Communities in Siberia and Ural, as well as on the stories of the Bible edited by Bialik, Ravnitzky and S. Ben Zion.

Jews were allowed to settle in Irkutsk in the mid-18th century. Later, Jewish and Cantonist army officers also settled there. The Jewish community grew somewhat during World War I with the arrival of many refugees from European Russia.
