A New Map - Different Relations is a concise selection of Moshe Dayan's speeches and writings from the two years following his appointment as Defense Minister, just before the Six-Day War. The book addresses Arab approaches in the aftermath of the 1967 defeat, military control of the ceasefire lines, preparations for the possibility of renewed comprehensive warfare, the struggle on the international stage, terrorism, Israeli activities in the newly occupied territories, and the societal challenges within Israel. These topics are discussed through retrospective analysis, evaluation of current situations, and clear definition of future objectives and courses of action. The book’s ten chapters present Moshe Dayan’s coherent defense doctrine. The book is accompanied by important historical photo plates.
